Royal Wedding: Feast your Eyes on the Gorgeous Jewels Flaunted by Megan Markle

August 10, 2018

Meghan Markle picked out a gorgeous assortment of glamorous jewels as she tied the knot with Prince Harry in a romantic ceremony, held at the Windsor Castle. She picked out a gorgeous boatneck Givenchy off-the-shoulder gown for her Big Day, and embellished her statement with heaps of alluring diamonds.

The ethereally simplistic bride picked out delicate and romantic diamond stud earrings from Galanterie de Cartier earrings, designed by renowned French jeweller, Cartier. She also flaunted a simplistic yet gorgeous diamond bracelet embellished in gilded white gold and diamonds, from the Reflection de Cartier bracelet, also by Cartier.

Meghan’s Tiara was the perfect match for her gorgeously minimalist Givenchy wedding gown, given her a charming princess-like grace as she walked down the aisle. Just like Kate Middleton, Meghan decided to pick out a glorious tiara from the exuberant jewellery vault of the Queen herself. She picked out the exquisitely alluring Queen Mary Diamond Bandeau, a delicate but glamorous spectacle of diamonds and artful craftsmanship.

It was commissioned by Queen Mary, the wife of King George V, from the high end luxury jewellery designer Garrard, in London, back in 1932. After she passed away, this tiara was passed onto her daughter-in-law Princes Marina, the Duchess of Kent. Later, it was also flaunted by Princess Margaret, the sister of Queen Elizabeth.

Meghan and Harry’s wedding was a glorious Royal affair that discarded all meaningless traditions, even as far as the wedding bands were concerned. Meghan gave Harry a textured platinum wedding band, which goes against the royal tradition of making wedding bands from the royal stash of Welsh gold. But Meghan’s own wedding band was created from Welsh gold, given to the bride as a gift by Queen Elizabeth. Harry had commissioned London’s famous Cleave & Company to create the wedding bands, along with the engagement ring he picked out for Meghan.

Meghan’s engagement ring was a stunning and elaborate design featuring three exotic diamond, one chunkier stone nested in the centre and embellished with two smaller stones resting on each side. It created by Queen Elizabeth’s jewellers, the famous Cleave and Company. This ring has a great deal of sentimental importance for Prince Harry, considering that the two stones come from Princess Diana’s own jewellery collection, while the other one hails from Botswana, a country that is very special for the Prince.

It’s adorable to see how he has entwined his two most precious inspirations into one ring that he picked out to ask Meghan to marry him.
